Sam had been having leg and jaw pain for a few months and for the last few weeks had not been able to sleep because of the pain. We had been to the doctor’s a couple times, but on Sat Sept 7, we saw a different doctor, and he was very concerned.
I want you to go straight to Tweed Hospital. How far away do you live? Maybe you can go and pack a bag first.
I had just finished making this video and was really excited about all the positive feedback, and potential for more videos. I had overcome some fears and limits in order to make it happen, and I felt like I could take on the world.
A day later, it didn’t seem to matter at all.
Lorinda: “How much does your leg hurt?”
Sam: “On a scale of one to ten, it’s a ten. On a scale of one to a thousand, it’s a twelve.”
So, thanks to my awesome brother in law Chris, we have a place to blog about our journey as we walk through the world of childhood cancer. I asked Sam to write out the word leukaemia, which is where we got the title of the blog. It is a bit of a crazy time for us, so I can’t guarantee how complete or up to date the blog will be, but I will give it a go:)
